Named Shrines are exactly that, Shrines which have individual names related to their locations rather than just saying “Shrine” it needs to say Hojo Shrine for example and there are a lot to find. Boddhisatva Statues are found in the Crucibles usually guarded by tough Yokai who need defeating before you can activate the Statue.
Fortunately, the Sub Missions won’t have named Shrines or Statues, they are exclusively just called “Shrine” even if its a named Shrine in the open World. The Antiquity and Edo Eras will have named Shrines but as they are main mission Shrines they will more than likely all be encountered as you work through those areas anyway. There are, in total 133 Shrines and 23 Boddhisatva Statues for you to activate as you progress through the game so all in all there’s a fair amount to do here.
Shrines And Statues
There are plenty of Shrines off the beaten track and providing you complete every Sub Mission, Myth, Story Mission and have a good eye for exploration you will discover them all but just in case I will list all of them off in the following 5 categories:

There are 3 different iterations of the Edo Era as you progress through the game and each of them have their own Shrines and Statues for you to activate and with there being 6 Shrines and 6 Statues you would think they are easy to get to, they’re not.
