There are 3 Sub Missions in the Heian Era of NIOH 3, 1 is available when you collect the item by the Rajomon: Suzuka Avenue Shrine and the other 2 are 2 Sub Missions you could do without even bothering to attempt until you are at least in Bakumatsu.
The Sub Missions in the Heian Era are probably your best source of Amrita and Gear in the game but that said you need to be fairly highly skilled to complete the Mystery of Rajomon and the other 2 are end game or only suitable for highly skilled players. I’m not bragging but I have covered all 3 NIOH games, completed them on every difficulty etc. And I took a beating in each of the 2 later Sub Missions one of which that starts off as a Myth before finally besting the enemies as it’s setup as a boss rush style mission.
Fortunately, none of the Sub Missions are required in NIOH 3 if you are just after the achievements but that said, if they’re available, why would you not want to take on the challenge which is, after all, what these games are designed to do: Test you as a gamer!.
