The Beneath a Pure White Flag feels anything but pure and it is a Sub Mission I will remind you that is optional and I will recommend to you that you don’t go anywhere near this Sub Mission until you at least in the Bakumatsu Era as there are 4 bosses to take down back to back and these guys smack a lot harder than they did the first time you fought them.
You need to have completed the main story in the Heian Era by clearing the Crucible as well as killed all of the Masters in the Heian Era and 2 of them have come back for vengeance as well as an ashamed Kajiwara who wants to redeem himself.
Conserve your resources as best as you can as you make your way through each battle which culminates in a 1vs1 against Minamoto no Yoshitsune who is in full Yokai form and has learnt a good number of new techniques since you kicked his ass in the Triple Triumph Myth which is required to unlock Beneath a Pure White Flag. Bring down every boss in the Sub Mission to conclude it. Good luck with this one, you just might need it!.
