NIOH 3 1864 CE Bakumatsu Main Missions

The Main Missions are there to advance the story in NIOH 3 and will be marked on your map with a gold circle indicating where you need to go. However, NIOH 3 is by no means a simple or easy game by any stretch of the imagination so I strongly recommend you go through every area, acquire very collectible, clear all of the Lesser Crucibles and Enemy Bases as doing so will increase your stats in that region as well as give you some pretty decent rewards along the way.

The first 2 missions in the Bakumatsu Era are required to open up the rest of the map, you then have to go through some pretty tough areas which are garrisoned by Soldiers holding down the streets with Gatling Guns and Cannons none of which you want to play around with. There is always a way of getting around the back of the artillery just be mindful as you work towards the Palace.

If you are stuck on NIOH 3 at any point throughout the Story Missions, go off and complete, Myths, improve your gear, work on increasing your Familiarity and change your weapons until you find something you click with. As a rule, Tonfa or Ninja swords are excellent Ninja Weapons and either an Axe or Dual Swords are highly efficient as a Samurai but you do you.
