The King’s Flame Fuoco boss is a very powerful albeit slow one with large telegraphs before every attack. However, if you get the timing wrong he can slap you back to the Stargazer in one or 2 hits then you also have the detrimental overheat status effect to deal with which rinses your health bar so ensure you go in with a full compliment of Pulse Cells as well as ensuring you conserve your stamina as much as possible as the fastest way to remove Overheat is to dash several times in quick succession.
Attack wise the King’s Flame has a nice variety including spinning bank hands which it can perform once or multiple times, dash attacks which you need to get out of the way for and a particularly nasty AOE fire attack which will light you up. Combine those with ranged fireball attacks as well as firing molten slag at you and Fuoco could be a problem.
If you are struggling with the fight remember you can summon at the Crack’s Calling just outside the boss gate to bring in a Spectre who does a good job of drawing the bosses attention giving you brief moments of respite to heal and recharge. Wait for Fuoco to finish his current combo then get in there with some charged attacks noting that electricity deals increased damage with him being a robot so use that element to your advantage.
In the second half of the fight Fuoco will ramp up its assault and produce ranged attacks a lot more frequently which are easily telegraphed and negated if you are behind him so use the opportunity to build up attacks to where you can land a Fatal Blow as well as making good use of your Fable Arts until you decommission the furnace. With Fuoco down you can then move forward through the game safe in the knowledge that no more puppets can be created. Now it’s just a case of dealing with the ones already here.
