Complete the first tier of every Exploration Challenge.
Here’s the Dead Island 2 Smorgasbord guide where I’ll help you complete the first tier of every Exploration Challenge. There are 7 Exploration Challenges to achieve first tier on with the Challenges themselves being found by going: Player Menu> Challenges> Exploration Challenges and will require you to travel to every zone in the game as well as completing a number of side quests and collectibles.

Stay vigilant in your searching as you explore through the various areas the game has to offer where you will easily complete the first tier of the Exploration Challenges along the way.
Exploration Challenges
The 7 Exploration Challenges you need to achieve the first tier in are as follows:

Complete 1 exploration challenge.
Reward: $1,000, Peak Health +.
You will need to fully complete any of the Challenges below with the simplest being to travel to every Zone although if you manage to do any of the other Exploration Challenges before you have travelled to every Zone you can cross this one off your list.
Private Eye
Complete 3 Lost & Found missing person quests.
Reward: $250.
Missing Person lost and found quests can only be found in Ocean Avenue and require you to track down a missing person funnily enough be they living or… not. There are 9 Missing Person lost and found quests in Ocean Avenue so completing any 3 of them will suffice for this challenge. Road Trip
Travel to every Zone.
Reward: $1,000.
In total, there are 10 Zones you will need to travel to. All of which you make your way through as part of the main story. The 10 Zones you need to travel to are:
- Bel-Air.
- Halperin Hotel.
- Beverly Hills.
- Monarch Studios.
- Brentwood Sewers.
- Venice Beach.
- Ocean Avenue.
- The Pier.
- The Metro.
- Hollywood Boulevard.
Once you reach Hollywood Boulevard you will then complete this challenge.
Safe Cracker
Unlock 5 Lockboxes.
Reward: $100.
Lockboxes are found throughout the game with their locations being on your map they’re very easy to find. For the most part, you will need to kill a named zombie in the local area to the lockbox where you can then loot the keys allowing you to grab everything inside a given lockbox. Lockboxes are well spending some time on as well as they usually contain either a powerful Firearm or heavy damage dealing melee weapons which can make the game a lot easier to progress through.
The Heart Of The Cards
Collect 5 Skill Cards.
Reward: $100.
You will get this one as you progress through the main game. If you would like to see which Skill Cards you have acquired throughout Dead Island 2 go: Player Menu> Skills then work your way through any of the following 4 categories:
- Abilities.
- Survivor.
- Slayer.
- Numen.
Equipping the skill cards which suit your tactics or opponents can seriously help turn the tide of battle. If you’re struggling with a particular section or boss, have a look through your skill cards and change things around to suit your current needs.
Well-Read
Complete 5 Journal collections.
Reward: $100.
Journals are collected as you progress through pretty much everything in Dead Island 2. Keep playing through the game normally and you’ll easily have this one done along the way. If you would like to see which journals you have collected or are progressing towards go: Player Menu> Collectibles> Journals then tab through any of the following 6 tabs which each have their own designated journal collections:
- Quests.
- Lost & Found.
- The Beforetimes.
- It Begins.
- Life In Hell-A.
- The Truth.
The Quests will be the ones you will complete first and will be done before the credits roll.
Zombie Pirate
Complete 1 Lost & Found weapon quest.
Reward: $100.
Lost and Found Weapon quests are quests which usually have a pre requisite for them such as progressing a certain way through the story or completing other side quests as you go. There are 6 Lost and Found Weapon quests in Dead Island 2, completing 1 of them will complete this challenge where as completing 5 of them will unlock Sharpest Tool in the Box. Once you have completed the first tier of all 7 Exploration Challenges you will earn Smorgasbord.
