Once you have completed the Cremains of the Day side quest for W.O. Rodriguez, head back to her location at the top of the lifeguard tower and speak with her again where you will then be able to begin the Diaries of the Dead side quest.
Take care during this side quest as you will have multiple variants of apex zombies as well as a Mutator all of which will be accompanied by hordes of zombies in multiple different forms so ensuring your gear is repaired as well as being matched to your level is all but essential here.
For me, I went through the Dead Island 2 side quests after having completed the main game where you will collect and receive some very powerful weapons to help you through trickier side quests such as this one. Once you’re ready to begin, head to W.O. Rodriguez and head off through Venice Beach towards the boardwalk where you will come across the convoy.
Take out everything in the local area then search for the USB stick which can be found sticking out of a military laptop on the East side of the flatbed where you will then be ambushed by a horde of zombies including at least 2 Crushers with the key-card carrier: the Signal Officer spawning near the end of the ambush who you can loot the Comms Area Keycard from.

Head through the USMC base to the far side where you can go through the gate using the key-card then interact with the satellite dish sounding an alarm bringing every zombie in the local area down on you as well as having to deal with a very tough Mutator: Lt. Bryant who breaks out of a container in an attempt to ruin your day.
Take everything down, grab the USB stick from the satellite dish and head back to W.O. Rodriguez to conclude the side quest.
