Roadmap

Stage 1: ‘The Legacy’ Mode – Complete Main Storyline, Earn Miscellaneous Story Trophies:
Please Note: The large time estimate is only because of The Gym mode (Stage 4), which requires around 50 hours of idling. The rest of the trophies can be earned in around five hours.

This stage will focus on The Legacy, a storyline where you will earn the majority of trophies. This is quite a linear story; as long as you keep winning the fights, all the trophies should come quite easily. You can play this game on any difficulty, and you can even tinker with your settings to give yourself maximum damage, maximum recovery, while making your opponents very weak. These settings will not void trophies.

There is one thing to note-the trophies Let Bygones Be Bygones and Apology Not Accepted! are mutually exclusive and will void each other. Under normal circumstances, you would need to complete two playthroughs to earn both, but there are workarounds that will allow you to earn both in the same playthrough. Don’t worry about this trophy until you’ve just earned All bets on red for brawling in the casino. You will be able to unlock the following trophies in The Legacy:

Stage 2: ‘Hall of Legends’ Mode:
Hall of Legends is a gamemode that showcases the careers and three standout performances from three UFC Champions: Max Holloway, Alex Pereira, and Weili Zhang. There are a few quick and easy trophies you can grab in this mode: Trophy The Past is Prologue is earned from clicking on an information terminal, and Trophy Retrograde in time and Trophy Yesterday Once More are related to completing the fights in these museums.

Stage 3: Online Mode:
The online portion of this game is luckily quite easy and fast. Your only two trophies require you to win three fights in a row, and land five clean shots on an online opponent while in flow state. Both of these trophies can easily be boosted with a partner.

Stage 4: ‘The Gym’ Mode:
The Gym is a gamemode where you manage a roster of fighters. You can recruit fighters and send them to training. This gamemode has no gameplay, yet it takes up the vast majority of the time spent in this game. You will spend about 50 hours idle in this mode, just pressing a few buttons to go tell your fighters to train. See Trophy Loyalist for a in-depth explanation on this time-consuming gamemode.

Then, with all of the above done you will unlock:

UFC 6 Hall of Fame trophy
PS5 Platinum Trophy

You will need to earn the other 42 trophies throughout UFC 6 which then unlocks Hall of Fame.

UFC 6 Hammer Time trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Hammer Time
Win a fight by ground and pound

You can earn this trophy in any mode. If you are completing The Legacy, this would be very difficult to miss. You win a fight by ground and pound if you knock your opponent down, and rain down shots to finish them. Once you drop an opponent, run towards them and spam Square to throw shots towards their head. If you cause enough damage, the fight will be stopped and you will unlock Hammer Time.

UFC 6 Tap, Snap or Nap trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Tap, Snap or Nap
Win a fight by submission

You can earn this trophy in any mode. To win a fight by submission, you first need to get your opponent to the ground. You can either do this by taking them down (Circle) or knocking them down with a strike. Once they are down, chase them to the ground and you will see an options wheel, where you can pick a few things, including chasing a submission. Hold R1 (to focus on the wheel) and hold Left Stick in the direction towards submission. Keep chasing the submission until the opponent taps out, unlock Tap, Snap or Nap.

UFC 6 Flow Interrupted trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Flow Interrupted
Stun an opponent while they are in flow state

You can earn this trophy in any mode. For this trophy, you must take enough damage so your opponent activates flow state (the meter at the top-right), and while they are in flow state, you throw a strike that stuns them. This is best done in Fight Now, where you can choose the conditions of the fight and there is no penalty to losing. In this gamemode, you can play against AI or even use two controllers.

You may need to edit the settings to change a few things; put your opponent’s damage to the middle, so they can fill the meter but not outright KO you. Increase your damage as much as it goes, so when you decide to throw a strike it will be sure to wobble them. Let your opponent fill their meter, and once they activate it, spam Square when there is an opening to rock them and unlock Flow Interrupted.

UFC 6 In the Zone trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

In the Zone
Win a fight while in flow state

Flow state is a mechanic that allows you to build momentum through a fight, and release an adrenaline burst all at once. You can find your flow state meter at the top-left of the screen; it will slowly build up throughout the fight. Once the meter is full, you can press Up to enter a state where you are more powerful. In the Zone is unlocked for stopping an opponent while in this state; this trophy will probably come naturally.

UFC 6 Not bed time yet trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Not bed time yet
Complete 5 consecutive fights without going to the ground

You can earn this trophy in any gamemode, but it is easiest in The Legacy. Not bed time yet is unlocked by not going to the ground for five fights in a row. This includes takedowns, engaging in ground and pound, or getting knocked down. You must stay completely standing. This trophy is quite easy using the modifiers in settings, where you can increase your strength and get quick and clean knockouts. You will most likely earn this trophy while going for other trophies, so no need to worry about this.

Welcome to UFC 6

You will unlock Welcome to UFC 6 when you create your fighter, after the introduction tutorial. This is required before playing any of the other modes.

UFC 6 The Past is Prologue trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

The Past is Prologue
Learn something new in Hall of Legends

The Past is Prologue can be earned in Hall of Legends. Select the gamemode, pick a fighter to learn about, and walk up to one of the information terminals around the area. Press Cross to learn about the thing, unlocking The Past is Prologue.

UFC 6 Retrograde in time trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Retrograde in time
Complete a fight in any museum

You can earn this trophy in Hall of Legends, by completing one of the highlighted fights. While in one of the open-world areas, press pause to see a few fights you can start. These are historic fights that you can participate in, complete one of the fights to unlock Retrograde in time. You will earn this while going for Yesterday Once More, which is unlocked by completing all objectives in three of these historical fights.

UFC 6 Yesterday Once More trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Yesterday Once More
Complete all objectives in a single Hall of Legends

You can earn this trophy in Hall of Legends. This gamemode showcases the careers and standout performances from three former UFC Champions: Max Holloway, Alex Pereira, and Weili Zhang. Each of these fighters will have three performances that you can enter, each having a few objectives you can complete. This trophy is earned from completing all objectives across the three fights showcased from one fighter.

The easiest fights of the three athletes is probably Alex Pereira. Press pause to see the overview of the fight objectives and to start the fight. You must complete all objectives in a row within the fight. Note that some of these objectives may be hard if you boosted your damage in the settings, since you will just knock your opponent out. See below for all the objectives amongst Alex Pereira’s fights.

  • UFC 281:
    • Stay standing and land Hooks – Land hooks by pressing Square. Avoid following Israel to the ground if you knock him down.
    • Finish by TKO or KO.
  • UFC 307:
    • Open a cut on Rountree – If you press Square while close to Rountree, you will throw an elbow, potentially cutting his face open.
    • Land 10 clean body shots – An easy way to land body shots without targeting the head much is to throw kicks. Do this with Cross.
    • Finish by TKO or KO.
  • UFC 295:
    • Cause Opponent Leg Health Event – You can easily cause a leg health event by kicking Jiří in the leg using Cross.
    • Finish by TKO or KO.

After completing all three fights’ objectives, exit back to the main menu to unlock Yesterday Once More.

UFC 6 Hat Trick trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Hat Trick
Achieve a 3-win streak in any online game mode

This trophy does not include Invite a Friend. Under the Online tab, you have a couple of choices to play online matches. The best option you have is Quick Fight.

It’s entirely possible to win three fights in a row naturally, if you have the skills. This trophy is also possible to boost with another player. Under Quick Fight, choose a non-popular stage (Backyard or Kumite work best), and both players choose the same specific search options for finding an opponent. Simulation, Strawweight (W), and CAF Not Allowed are probably the least played options, so have both players search for that and queue at the same time. Matchmaking works across different servers and regions, so it shouldn’t matter too much where your partner is from.

The only annoying problem is that rematching your opponent does not count towards unlocking Hat Trick. You will need to both exit out, and requeue in hopes to find each other again. If you match up against somebody else, close the application before the fight begins to keep the win streak. You can also easily unlock Strike While the Iron’s Hot while in a match with a boosting partner.

UFC 6 Strike While the Iron's Hot trophy
PlayStation Gold Trophy

Strike While the Iron’s Hot
Land 5 successful strikes on an opponent during a single flow state in an online match

As described in In the Zone, the flow state is a mechanic that allows you to activate a adrenaline boost during a fight, making you more powerful. This trophy is unlocked for activating this during an online fight, and landing five clean strikes while in this state.

The easiest way to earn this trophy is by boosting with a partner. You can use the method in Hat Trick to match up with a boosting partner. This time, change your Combat Preset to Competitive. This will allow you to activate flow state once the meter fills. Make sure not to knock your opponent out before it fills, allow them to recover when they’re hurt. After pressing Down to activate flow state, it would be smartest to press Cross five times to throw five kicks, which will hopefully not knock your opponent out before earning this trophy.

UFC 6 Loyalist trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Loyalist
Max a fighter to level 99 in The Gym

The Gym is a gamemode where you have the ability to recruit fighters, and then level up those fighters by sending them to trainers. Loyalist and Gotta Train ‘Em All will take up the large majority of your time playing this game; this trophy alone can take between 46 and 55 hours.

However, the grind isn’t too terrible. You don’t have to actively be playing; all those hours are spent being idle, only needing to press a button to send a fighter to a trainer over and over again. Using the greatest trainer (see below to learn how to unlock him), you will need to send a fighter to training 223 times, once every 15 minutes. Each training session will reward 525XP, and 117,262XP in total is required for level 99.

Read the following points before starting this trophy, so you can speed things up in the long run:

  • Reach Gym Level 16 to unlock the best trainer:
The greatest trainer you can unlock is Sergo Vakhtangishvili, who is rewarded after reaching Gym Level 16. You can view your Gym Level (different from a Fighter Level) next to your name at the top-right of the My Gym page. Your Gym Level increases from playing the game; after completing all the other trophies, you might be around Gym Level 10. An easy way to quickly increase your Gym Level is to grind title defenses in The Legacy. Each title defense rewards you with 500XP. You can rack up quick title defenses by changing your strength in settings, and knocking all your opponents out very quickly.
    • Reaching Gym Level 21 would take away some of the grind:
Reaching Gym Level 21 will shorten the AFK time a bit. Just stopping at Gym Level 16 will make Sergo give 525XP every 15 minutes. If you level Gym Level to 50, he will reward 525XP every 14 minutes. This will decrease the AFK time from 55 hours to 50 hours. It all depends if you want to put a few more hours grinding title defenses.
  • Choose the optimal fighter to level up:
This is really important. Some fighters will take longer to level up than others. Each fighter has a star rating, which correlates to how long it takes for a training session. All 5-star fighters and some 4.5-star fighters will take longer. It would be best to pick a 4-star fighter to do this grind with. Alex Perez (under Leg Choppers) is a good fighter for this, he is easy to unlock and gains the maximum XP per training session.

After you have reached Gym Level 16, and unlocked a 4-star fighter, you are now ready for the long grind. Select your fighter, assign Sergo Vakhtangishvili to train them, and wait 15 minutes for them to finish. You can play other gamemodes or close the application in the meantime, but after 15 minutes you will want to get them back to training. Consider having an interval timer to remind you to reassign the trainer.

Please Note: You should combine this with Gotta Train ‘Em All, since you can assign multiple trainers at one time to multiple fighters.

UFC 6 Gotta Train 'Em All trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Gotta Train ‘Em All
Get 12 fighters in one The Gym category to gold

This trophy is related to The Gym, it requires you to level up twelve fighters within one category to Level 14. This trophy should be earned alongside Loyalist, since both require you to AFK, and they can be progressed at the same time. If you reach Gym Level 16 for that trophy, you will have twelve unlockable fighters in the Leg Choppers category. You must keep to one category for this trophy, this is the first on the sidebar.

First, you need to unlock the fighters. You will see many of the fighters have a “__% Success” rating on them. If you send a trainer to try to recruit them, this is the percent chance they will join your gym. If they refuse, don’t worry, since you can keep trying. Since you have multiple trainers, you can send up to five trainers out at once looking to recruit fighters.

The twelve fighters you can recruit at Gym Level 16 under Leg Choppers are:

  • José Aldo (already unlocked).
  • Edson Barboza.
  • Jared Cannonier.
  • Katlyn Cerminara.
  • Ciryl Gane.
  • Ian Machado Garry.
  • Jonathan Martinez.
  • Pedro Munhoz.
  • Alex Pereira (already unlocked).
  • Alex Perez.
  • Marlon Vera.
  • Michelle Waterson.

Once you have the twelve recruits, now you need to start sending them to training. You do this by selecting a fighter and assigning a trainer to them. This will start a timer, and after the timer, the session is complete. Try to have all your trainers active at the same time. Once a fighter is at Level 14, focus on the other fighters. This trophy will unlock when the twelfth fighter has reached Level 14.

UFC 6 Let Bygones Be Bygones trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Let Bygones Be Bygones
Choose to forgive Danny

Please Note: This is one of the only two missable trophies (along with Apology Not Accepted!), since they both void each other. Read below to see how to earn both trophies, without the need for a second playthrough.

This trophy is unlocked at the end of The Legacy storyline. After your fight with Danny Lopez, you will have the option to forgive him or hold a grudge. This option will be presented to you in the post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. Selecting Yes will unlock Let Bygones Be Bygones, and No will unlock Apology Not Accepted!. This is non-replayable under normal circumstances, meaning both options require two playthroughs.

However, there are workarounds to earning both trophies without replaying the entire story. One requires PS+, and the other can be done without, but is riskier. See below for tutorials on both options.

PS+ Cloud Save Methos (Requires PS+)

After earning All bets on red, you will be in the final week of your training camp. Now you will want to upload your current save data to the cloud, so you can easily reload from this point and earn the other trophy. To upload to the cloud on your PS5, go Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Upload or Delete from Cloud Storage > Upload EA SPORTS UFC 6.

After earning either one of these trophies, go back into Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5). This time select Download or Delete from Cloud Storage, and choose to download the UFC 6 save file. Confirm that you want to overwrite the saved data. Go back into the game, and you will be back in the training camp for Danny Lopez. Complete the fight again and select the other option.

Close Application Method (Risky)

If you don’t have PS+ or can’t be bothered to do the above method, you might have the ability to earn both trophies by just closing the application right after answering Cormier. After earning one trophy, immediately close the application, and open it back up. If you did it quick enough, your save will be before the fight began, and you can re-complete the fight to choose the other option.

UFC 6 Building the Foundation trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Under the Home tab during a training camp, select Settings, Gameplay Settings, Gameplay tab, and scroll down to Damage (User), bringing it to +100%. This will make it quite easy to knock your opponent out quickly. With this setting, it will only take a few clean shots to win the knockout.

That’s the UFC 6 trophy guide complete, I hope it helped you through the game.
