Enemy Bases are captured by defeating all of the enemies situated within the confines of the base which can be Yokai or Human in varying levels of difficulty. It’s a good idea to use a ranged weapon to pick off whichever low level enemies you can get a line of sight on before going in hard on the remaining enemies. Some bases will be very challenging to clear out so it would be prevalent to come back later when your gear is better or you’re more proficient at bringing your opponents down.
You will encounter Dark Realms as you make your way through NIOH 3 but don’t worry, these aren’t needed for Total Control as they aren’t technically bases, they’re just structured very similarly.
