NIOH 3 The Spirit Tree Village Story Mission

Here is the NIOH 3 The Spirit Tree Village Story Mission which is the first of the main missions in the Antiquity Era and tasks you with going through a Yokai filled forest which ends in a fight against a Guardian Spirit.

Once you have taken down Minamoto no Yoritomo in the Heian Crucible you will be transported to 3rd century Japan where there are plenty of Yokai and Soldiers in place to prevent you getting to Himiko and Kusanagi. Ensure you have a ranged weapon and tracking Ninjitsu which will make your life easier when it comes to the Crucible Wasps and you will also be introduced to new enemies, the Sentries. These hulking statues have incredible defence and attack but they are weak to attacks from behind as well as Lightning damage so use this to your advantage and put them down or alternatively, just run pass them.

When you get to the Village you will need to clear the Soldiers, Dogs and a Waira who can be avoided and take care as you go exploring as some of the small buildings hold hard hitting Soldiers and sometimes Dogs which can get behind you and prevent you escaping. Rest at the Shrine then go up and face Himiko and Kusanagi. Himiko will come at you with very powerful magic spells and Kusanagi really doesn’t want you in the arena.

Himiko has a shield which you can break to prevent her casting magic but for me as soon as I attacked Himiko, Kusanagi went a lot more aggressive and as the Guardian Spirit is the main boss in this fight I’d forget Himiko and just focus on the Dragon instead.
