There are 7 Hot Springs you need to rest at in the Bakumatsu Era, most of which are at the back of tough biomes and to enter a Hot Spring you need to clear out all of the enemies in the local area then hold R1 to strip down and have a relaxing bath. As soon as you start moving again your character will get dressed and be ready in a second or 2.

Healing wise don’t expect massive chunks of health to come back but it will tick over so if you are out of Elixir and are struggling then you can find respite in the Hot Springs to help keep you away from death but all in all the Hot Springs are more of a novelty than anything else. That said, the Yokai Teardrops are handy if you like shopping at the Sudama Store.
