1622 CE Edo is a complex timeline which changes as you work through the game, it is where the first mission is set, you then go there again after you’re done in the Antiquity Era and once again after Bakumatsu where NIOH 3’s main story draws to a close.

At the Battle Scroll, 1622 CE Edo will have several different sections and its also where all of the training missions will be available which are well worth playing through as they can unlock some extremely powerful and useful skills and Ninjitsu, the Eternal Rift also has Myths available so to avoid doubling up I will add everything in this walkthrough spread across the different parts of the game as named at the Battle Scroll with the Eternal Rift training being in the 1622 CE Edo section and the later missions having their own sections.

1622 CE Edo Walkthrough

The 1622 CE Edo timeline is broken into several different sections as you progress through the main story  and with the Eternal Rift being part of the Edo timeline as well there is a lot to do including finishing the story. As such I have broken the entire Edo timeline down into their own walkthroughs which are as follows:

  1. 1622 CE Edo Walkthrough.
  2. 1622 CE Return to Edo Walkthrough.
  3. 1622 CE-Final Battle of Edo.
  4. Eternal Rift Myths.
  5. Edo Shrines and Statues.

1622 CE Edo Walkthrough

1622 CE Edo is where the Training Missions can be found which are well worth getting through given the incredible skills and spells they unlock. Refer to the NIOH 3 1622 CE Edo walkthrough if you need any assistance getting through all of the missions.

1622 CE Return To Edo Walkthrough

1622 CE Return to Edo is an Era which holds 1 mission and 2 bosses which becomes available once you are done in the Antiquity Era. Fight through the mission which is a revisit to the first mission in the game, this time, however, you need to defeat the formidable Tokugawa Kunimatsu. Refer to the NIOH 3 1622 CE Return to Edo Walkthrough if you would like to see what awaits you in the reworked Edo Era.

1622 CE-Final Battle Of Edo Walkthrough

The 1622 CE-Final Battle of Edo is the final Era in the game accessible after you conclude the Scion of the Gods Story Mission cleansing the final Crucible in the Bakumatsu Era. It holds 1 Story Mission then after the credits have rolled, several intense Sub Missions become available so remember Sub Missions in NIOH 3 are optional, that said, the rewards are epic if you have the strength and skill to bring everyone down. Refer to the NIOH 3 1622 CE-Final Battle of Edo Walkthrough to see what awaits you.

Myths

The 3 Myths you can begin and turn in the 1622 CE Edo Era specifically in the Eternal Rift are primarily focused around helping the Blacksmith recover her memories then there’s another where you need to find a Tea Bowl to allow Matsunaga to enjoy the perfect cup of tea. Refer to the NIOH 3 Eternal Rift Myths to see how to complete them all.

Shrines And Statues

With there being 3 Story Missions and a fair amount of Sub Missions in the Edo Era especially if we include the Eternal Rift Training Missions you would be forgiven in thinking there are a lot of Shrines and Boddhisatva Statues to activate as you progress them all, there are just 6 Shrines and 6 Statues 2 of which are the same as well but they still need activating. Refer to the NIOH 3 1622 Edo Shrines and Statues to see where they can all be found.

That’s the 1622 Edo walkthrough complete, slightly weird structure but I thought it was the best way to lay everything out as you come to it in game.
