Roadmap
Dinoblade is a fairly unique game where you play as a Dinosaur who has fused their Soul with a Dinosaur who has mastered the blade but one who has subsequently become imprisoned in a cage made of bladed. Embark on an adventure after you Soul Bind with Akai’s Soul and set off to free the Master as you fight your way through 5 biomes of Dino slaying action. What makes this game so fun is the idocy of having a Dinosaur wield a series of Greatswords in its mouth whilst you’re fighting other Dinosaurs most of whom also have their own weaponry.
You could be facing a series of small Dinosaurs with daggers, swords and scythes in their mouths or a hefty, brute style Dinosaur with a Hammer designed to slam you straight back to the save crystal but usually you will fight combinations of these types of enemies just to keep you on your claws (toes).
Weapon wise, you get a sword then as you work through the game you get different swords which may sound a bit dull but the different swords mix up their attacks and skills to make them feel like completely different weapons and the move sets can have minor changes to them which helps to mix things up.
The main issue you will have with Dinoblade is that you need to unlock the final tier of all 4 Skills but the problem is you will only have enough Boss Soul Points to level 2 of them meaning you will have to start a new game and go through again to at least Darkclaw’s Forest, the third biome to have enough Boss Soul Points to unlock the remaining fourth level of the skills.

Shop For Your Mug NowSo going from the start of the game, work you way through Tyrant’s Canyon taking out the 3 bosses along the way which will unlock the following achievements by the time you get to the Great Lake:
Now that you’re in the Great Lake there are 3 optional bosses who you can fight, all of which I recommend taking down as you’ll need their Summons if nothing else. By the time you are done in the Great Lake and in Darkclaw’s Forest you should have the following achievements unlocked:
Darkclaw’s Forest, the third biome is where the game starts to get a lot tougher in terms of both enemies and bosses. You will, by the time you’re done in the Forest and in the Red Ashe’s Swamp have the following achievements unlocked:
Red Ashe’s Swamp is the penultimate biome in Dinoblade and one which features 2 incredible hardcore boss and with all 3 bosses being optional you can skip the fights if you want to, however, in doing so you will miss out on the achievements and the Boss Souls. On that basis, take the time to level up a good amount especially for the Red Ash boss then once you’re ready to end your time in the Red Ashe’s Swamp you should have the following achievements unlocked:
Now that you’re in the end game you have 1 more biome to go and several opponents to take down including a 3 vs 1 against 3 Kasei the Tyrant bosses from the end of Tyrant’s Canyon so use your skills to bring the trio down. In the areas just before this will be where you can find the 6 Sauropods so defeat them all to unlock:
Before going through to take on the final 2 bosses in Dinoblade (at the back of the snow field after the 3 Kelsei fight), I highly recommend you focus on unlocking these achievements:
Then, depending on the skills you chose to unlock and as detailed above you will have enough Boss Soul Points to unlock any of the following 4 achievements, with you needing to begin a new game and go through again ensuring you focus on unlocking the other 2 so you get all of the skill based achievements which are as follows:
Now with everything above done and you understanding the need to begin a new game you for the remaining 2 skill based achievements you can then go through the snow field and take on the final 2 bosses as well as destroying the Meteor after which you will unlock:
With the credits rolled the only thing left to do now is to beat that infuriatingly challenging Boss Rush Mode, which, once done will conclude your time with Dinoblade and unlock:
THE PRICE OF SURVIVAL
Soul Bind with Akai’s soul
You will Soul Bind with Akai’s Soul at the very start of the game unlock THE PRICE OF SURVIVAL once you have the Sword.
STAINLESS EXTINCTION
Collect all Swords in game
There are 7 swords to collect in Dinoblade, 5 are acquired through normal game progression leaving 2 more to be found throughout the Worlds and they are well off the beaten track. Refer to the Stainless Extinction guide if you would like the locations of all 7 swords which then unlocks STAINLESS EXTINCTION once you have them all.
FEEDING THE BLADE
Beat Boss Rush
Boss Rush is a brutally challenging mode which unlocks after you beat the main game, however, you don’t get to go in with your end game character. Instead you need to take on every boss with no chance of grinding out for better stats. Each time you take down a boss you will then get 1 Boss Soul Point and a few Soul Points to spend on your attributes. Oh, and you get the basic sword to go through it all as well. This will be the 100% breaker for most players as whilst the main game is very doable, Boss Rush is a step to far for most. If you can take down every boss in the game back to back then you will unlock FEEDING THE BLADE.
FEED THE BEAST
Become the Dark Spinosaurus Beast from within
The Dark Spinosaurus is the Dinosaur you can transform into as you unlock and progress through the Alpha Roars skill. You will need to progress through levels 10, 20 and 35 to unlock the 3 additional skills then once you have placed Boss Soul Points in the fourth level of Alpha’s Roar, hold LT to become the Dark Spinosaurus Beast and unlock FEED THE BEAST.
PARRY GOD
Deflect 100 times
Deflecting requires you to press LB just before a strike hits. Holding LB will block where as a light press the frame before the impact with cause the enemy’s attack to be deflected which is depicted as an energy wave coming off the weapons and is a mechanic I strongly recommend you become proficient at as it can not only save you taking damage. It leaves your opponent open to a counter and deflecting isn’t just for normal enemies, it can be a game changer against bosses as well. Deflect 100 enemy attacks to unlock PARRY GOD.
The Necromancer
Unlock all Ghost Summons
The Ghost Summons are Summons you receive from defeating bosses as you make your way through the game. There are several missable bosses primarily located in the Great Lake and Red Ashe’s Swamp biomes as these are a lot more open than the Tyrant’s Canyon and Darkclaw’s Forest biomes which see you having to defeat the bosses to progress.
The 11 Ghost Summons you can acquire are as follows:
- Kira the Exile.
Passive: Increase damage by 10%. - Axe.
Passive: Increase stamina regeneration speed. - Shield.
Passive: Increase resonance recovery on block and parries. - Haku.
Passive: Freeze enemies on impact. - Tank.
Passive: Blocking heals a small amount. - Stick.
Passive: Parry window increases. - Speed.
Passive: Increase attack speed by 10%. - Ketsuro.
Passive: Longer invincibility whilst dodging. - Reaper And Shade.
Passive: Lower cost of Summoning. - Horn.
Passive: Skills have shorter cooldown. - Red Ash.
This Summon has higher damage but longer cooldown.
Once you have all 11 Ghost Summons you will then unlock: The Necromancer.
SILENCING THE EARTHQUAKES
Defeat 6 Sauropods.
The Extinction’s Edge biome is the fifth biome in the game and where the 6 passive Sauropods can be found. Attack and defeat each one of them which does make them hostile but their attacks are minimal. Defeat all 6 Sauropods to unlock SILENCING THE EARTHQUAKES.
THE REAPER
Collect 666 Souls
Souls are gained from defeated enemies as well as by collecting the green glowing orbs dotted throughout the various biomes. You will, by the end of the game have a lot more than 666 Souls. I unlocked THE REAPER when I was at the end of the Great Lake so you should do the same if not in Darkclaw’s Forest.
I AM the Meteor
Destroy the Meteor
The Meteor will be summoned by the World boss of the Extinction’s Edge biome, the final biome in the game after you defeat both phases. Mash the buttons to build up the meter which does have a generous time limit to send an energy wave to smash the meteor. With the Meteor destroyed, the credits will roll and you will unlock I AM the Meteor.
FIRST BLOOD
Defeat Kira The Exile
Kira the Exile is the first boss you will come to in Dinoblade and she is a steep learning curve considering the standard Dinosaurs you’ve been fighting. Make sure you learn to dodge and block at the last second to deflect her attacks then focus on beating her down until she falls which then unlocks FIRST BLOOD.
AN AXE-TINCTION EVENT
Defeat AXE
Axe is the second boss in Tyrant Canyon and a powerful one so you might want to spend some time levelling up your stats as this guy will be your introduction to unblockable boss attacks. Fortunately unblockable doesn’t mean un-dodgeable so make good use of your agility and get out of the way before getting back in for some punishing attacks of your own. Once Axe is down you will unlock AN AXE-TINCTION EVENT.
THE FALLEN TYRANT
Defeat KASEI THE TYRANT
Kasei the Tyrant is the final boss in the Tyrant Canyon and this can smash you around like nothing else you will have fought so far. Kasei loves an unblockable attack and is so tough its initial weapon is another Dinosaur who she holds in her mouth to smash you about with. Get her health down by a third and the real weapon comes out, a massive cleaver which can finish you off very quickly.
I do recommend you run back through Tyrant Canyon as far as you can killing the Dinosaurs and getting more SP to level up. Rest near the start at a Save Crystal then go back through the Canyon towards Kasei and do so as many times as you need to ensuring you spend your SP before taking her on again. Once you are tough enough to drop Kasei the Tyrant you will then unlock THE FALLEN TYRANT.
BROKEN PLATES
Defeat SHIELD
Shield can be found in the middle of the Great Lake biome, head down the hill from the starting point to the Save Crystal and head through getting ready for a very tough, extremely well armoured enemy. The main armour on Shield is its head, so it’s all but essential you get around the side or behind Shield to be able to do any sort of significant damage. Bring Shield down to unlock BROKEN PLATES.
DROP THE HAMMER
Defeat HAKU
Haku is on the East side of the Great Lake in the boneyard, however, I recommend spending some time levelling up as this dude can implement heavy elemental attacks you might not be strong enough to survive on your first visit. In the second half of the fight the elemental attacks really ramp up and they are brutal on your stamina bar so avoid them at all costs then get back in there and dish out some punishment until Haku is down which unlocks DROP THE HAMMER.
OUT-HEAVIED
Defeat TANK
Tank is found at the back of the Great Lake biome and is a very powerful, fast, incredibly well armoured boss who doesn’t have a weakness apart from when you successfully deflect the attacks which lands Tank on their back for a few seconds. This gives you an opening to either heal or punish so choose wisely depending on how well you’re doing then get ready to back off before the next onslaught. Bring Tank down to unlock OUT-HEAVIED.
THE SKY-EATER FALLS
Defeat MOKUSEI THE TITAN
Mokusei the Titan is the big bad of the Great Lake and this thing is incredibly strong and fast. If he were one or the other it wouldn’t be that bad but those unblockable stomps mixed in with tail swipes and an AOE that blasts out twice makes this a tough battle.
Mokusei has an incredibly high amount of defence as well so ensure you have a decent Summon, I went for Haku then some powerful abilities and farm for more SP if you need it to increase your stats. Out manoeuvre Mokusei the Titan and bring it down to unlock THE SKY-EATER FALLS.
PARRYSAUR!
Defeat STICK
Stick is the first boss you will come to in the Darkclaw’s Forest and is a challenging opponent given its parry ability and the sheer power those slams and slashes can produce. Work on parrying Sticks’ parry to then deflect and punish whilst watching out for those brutal red attacks. Defeat Stick to unlock PARRYSAUR!.
THE PACK IN THE FOREST
Defeat SPEED
Speed is a brutal fight not only due to the fact as you have no doubt ascertained, Speed is very fast but it can also summon clones of itself to attack you which results in your health bar emptying like a poured out glass of water. You need to counter Speed’s agility with power as there’s no way you’ll keep up with this undersized Dino, however, her own consequence of being so fast is that her defensive capabilities are next to nil so equip a Summon such as Haku to freeze Speed in place then shred her health bar down. With Speed defeated you will then unlock THE PACK IN THE FOREST.
GROUNDED PERMANENTLY
Defeat KETSURO
Kestsuro is the third boss in Darkclaw’s Forest and it is a combination of STICK and SPEED which makes this one of the most challenging bosses in the game. If you try and get a combo going you will be parried then countered with unblockable attacks so I would recommend using heavy attacks then focus on dodging until Ketsuro needs a breather. Get 1 or 2 hits in before retreating and providing you can manage your resources well, you will come away with the win. With Ketsuro defeated, you will then unlock GROUNDED PERMANENTLY.
OUT-SLASHED
Defeat DOSEI THE GIANT CLAW
Dosei the Giant Claw is the World boss of Darkclaw’s Forest and is about as tough as all of the other bosses combined and blistering fast. Essentially if an ostrich had a baby with a blender, Dosei is what would have been produced as this thing will spin your health bar down without flinching so use SPEED as your Summon to increase your attack Speed allowing you to go toe to toe with this Avarian phenom.
For me, I needed to get some SP so I travelled back to Tyrant’s Canyon, went through there, through the Great Lake then through the Forest which gave me enough attributes to just take this thing down. Very tough fight but a rewarding one. With Dosei the Giant Claw down, you will then unlock OUT-SLASHED.
SILENCING THE DUAL ROAR
Defeat REAPER & SHADE
The Reaper & Shade boss fight will be a 2 vs 1 in the Red Ashe’s Swamp so deal with 1 of them first either Reaper or Shade to make the fight a lot simpler. Make no mistake, despite their small stature, these 2 can absolutely shred your health down to 0 with very little effort so don’t get caught out. You may well find yourself running towards that burning tree several times before you come away with the win. With Reaper and Shade taken down you will then unlock SILENCING THE DUAL ROAR.
FROM ASH TO DUST
Defeat RED ASH
Red Ash is one of the toughest bosses in Dinoblade, this thing is incredibly fast, more powerful than most World Bosses and it has a severe fire attack designed to melt you like the meteor which finished the Dinosaurs. You will need to out pace Red Ash which is no easy task so equip a Summon such as Haku to freeze it in place allowing you to punish. Once Red Ash has been brought down you will unlock FROM ASH TO DUST.
CHAINBREAKER
Defeat HORN
Horn is found to the North of Red Ashe’s Swamp all by itself for a reason, this is one angry dinosaur with a chain attached to its nose that it spins around with great efficiency. The saving grace here is every attack with the weapon save for the rare red ones can be deflected so this fight is a very good test of skill and endurance. Given the fact as well that the window for attacking is very small it would be wise to use your abilities as soon as the fight starts then play a defensive game as they recharge. Once Horn has been brought down you will then unlock CHAINBREAKER.
BREAK THE SPIRIT, CLAIM THE STEEL
Defeat AKAI TSUKI
Akai Tsuki is the World boss for the Red Ashe’s Swamp biome and the Dinosaur is a very powerful, fast version of you essentially with the same skill set, a hell of a lot more health and the ability to carve you up for lunch. You will need to really work on preserving your resources as once the Dino has been defeated, the Humanoid appears and Akai Tsuki’s true form reminds me of a faster version of the Yaksha King from Black Myth Wukong if you’ve played that.
Ensure you parry the attacks as much as you can then dodge to the side to avoid the energy beams. As long as you didn’t take to much of a beating in the first round you will have healing and abilities left over and you will need them here. Very tough fight and given the faster Humanoid nature of the attacks it can feel jarring at first to not be fighting a dinosaur. Overcome that and put both variants of Akai Tsuki down to unlock BREAK THE SPIRIT, CLAIM THE STEEL.
TINY TANK
Save the Anky
The Anky refers to a small Ankylosaurus who is being bullied by 2 Katana wielding Raptors and we can’t be having that. Make your way through Tyrant’s Canyon to the White T-Rex with the Hammer in its mouth, take it out then go left up the hill to a closed off area. Carefully take out both Raptors using deflects to make your life a lot easier ensuring you don’t hit the Anky. I did this post game so I was well over powered for this biome but with a few attempts you’ll get this done unlocking TINY TANK once the Anky is saved.
THE IRON DINO
Discover all extra Max Heal Ores
Glitched.
Max Heal Ores are exactly that, Ores that you can find in obscure locations which increase the number of times you can heal and given the difficulty Dinoblade can have, more healing is always good. There are 3 Ores to find as you progress through the game and to see where they can be found, refer to the The Iron Dino guide for a full breakdown of what’s required to unlock THE IRON DINO.
MASTER OF THE BLADE
Upgrade Meteor Zone to its limits
Meteor Zone is one of your skills and to unlock and level it up you need Boss Souls but take care as you only get a certain amount of Boss Souls in Dinoblade so spend them wisely. I recommended at the top of the guide in the Roadmap that you focus on unlocking 2 Skills then start and progress a new game to unlock the other 2. If Meteor Zone is one of your preferred skills you will need to place points into all 4 levels of it to then max out Meteor Zone unlocking MASTER OFT THE BLADE.
MASTER OF THE DANCE
Upgrade Meteor Slice to its limits
Meteor Slice is one of your skills and to unlock and level it up you need Boss Souls but take care as you only get a certain amount of Boss Souls in Dinoblade so spend them wisely. I recommended at the top of the guide in the Roadmap that you focus on unlocking 2 Skills then start and progress a new game to unlock the other 2. If Meteor Slice is one of your preferred skills you will need to place points into all 4 levels of it to then max out Meteor Slice unlocking MASTER OFT THE DANCE.
MASTER OF THE DASH
Upgrade Meteor Dash to its limits
Meteor Dash is one of your skills and to unlock and level it up you need Boss Souls but take care as you only get a certain amount of Boss Souls in Dinoblade so spend them wisely. I recommended at the top of the guide in the Roadmap that you focus on unlocking 2 Skills then start and progress a new game to unlock the other 2. If Meteor Dash is one of your preferred skills you will need to place points into all 4 levels of it to then max out Meteor Dash unlocking MASTER OFT THE DASH.
That’s the Dinoblade achievement guide complete, I hope it helped you through the game.
