Roadmap

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the first DLC for Borderlands and as DLC goes, a fairly simple one which tasks you with working through several main story missions whilst also taking down hundreds of Zombies along the way.

Once you begin the House of the Ned story mission you will gain access to Hallows End where you need to get down to the South West corner and find T.K. Baha as he holds a series of missions which take up the majority of your time so doing T,K.’s missions alongside the main story missions will save you a fair bit of time after you roll the credits… twice. So from the start of the DLC which you can access by fast travelling to Jakob’s Cove work on unlocking or working towards:

Now for Braaaaaaaaaaaaains! you can and should be going back to T.K. whenever you have enough Brains where you can then start the next grind after collecting the first 3 sets of Brains being 10, 25 and 50 which can easily be collected in the local area. You then, as you work towards collecting 100 then 250 Brains for T.K. focus on working through the rest of the story which will unlock:

This then leaves you free to mop up the remaining Brains which will hopefully be the 250 by this point to conclude your time with the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC.

Interact with the door taking care of the Corpse Eaters then head to the marker which takes you to Hallows End. Fight your way through Hallows End to the keypad which calls the Worlds slowest lift down leaving you little to do except kill all of the ambushing zombies, head up the elevator and into the facility and turn the mission in with Ned to unlock House of the Ned.

Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!
Completed the “Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!” mission

The Braaaaaaaaaaaaains! mission can be started by going to the very South West of the Hallows End biome where you will find T.K.’s Leg which you can accept the TK Lives! mission from so head into the shack and speak to T.K. Baha who has seen better days.

You then need to complete a series of optional missions which require you to collect Zombie Brains which are random drops from Zombies who you headshot, so work through the Hallows End biome and collect the required amount of Brains for each of the following missions turning them in as you go:

  1. Brains.
    Collect and return 10 Brains.
  2. Braaains.
    Collect and return 25 Brains.
  3. Braaaaains.
    Collect and return 50 Brains.
  4. Braaaaaaaaaaaains.
    Collect and return 100 Brains.
  5. Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!
    Collect and return 250 Brains.

In total you will need to collect a whopping 435 Brains for T.K. then once you have completed the final, Braaaaaaaaaaaaains! mission and turned it in you will then unlock Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!.
